I have a good job. In addition to the company-wide events, like the summer outing and holiday party, they pay for each team to go on an individual outing once a year. We spent the day at Six Flags New England. Not too bad for a day’s work, eh?

These two pictures are from Superman, Ride of Steel, the best ride in the park. Apart from the sheer drops, helix loops, and excessive speeds, much of the thrill comes from being so exposed. There is only a lap restraint holding you in, where most other serious coasters have secure-feeling shoulder harnesses. Also, the sides of the carts are so low, I was able to easily shake the hands of the coworkers sitting behind me after we were all buckled in.

The foliage was nice, too.
