An afternoon in the park

Enjoying unstructured social time is something the Europeans have got better handle on than we do. When I was walking through Vondelpark in Amsterdam, I noticed the groups of locals who had gathered to chat with each other, get a little fresh air, eat a little food, and generally relax. This inspired me to invite a group out to the Boston Public Gardens yesterday. Thanks to everyone who came out. I had a great time.

Nice panoramic picture! How many photos was that? It turned out pretty well; you got a lot of usable height in the image.

Hmmm… you could have made the get together seem even bigger by just going around the circle a few times ;)

This was about six pictures spliced together. The program I use (see eariler entry) does a good job splicing them together, but sometimes does funny things with the colors. When connecting a darker one to a lighter one, the darker one often looks washed-out.
